Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).

Quran 16:97

Righteous Deeds and their Reward

This is a promise from Allah to those Children of Adam, male or female, who do righteous deeds - deeds in accordance with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet , with a heart that believes in Allah and His Messenger , while believing that these deeds are commanded and enjoined by Allah. Allah promises that He will give them a good life in this world and that He will reward them according to the best of their deeds in the Hereafter. The good life includes feeling tranquillity in all aspects of life.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

We make intentions and strive to live a righteous life for the sake of Allah the Most High, to inn sha Allah taste the fruits of Allah's promise.

And yes we all have moments where we feel that we are not doing enough, we could do better, we are failing, but we mustn't be disheartened because Allah's Mercy is like no other.

"When Allah decreed the creation He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne: My Mercy prevails over My Wrath."

Hadith - Al-Bukhari

Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Quran 39:53

Time is short, busy, full of hustle and bustle.  As a wife, a homemaker, a work from home mother, a homeschooler... how is it possible to feel that good life, that tranquillity?

When you make the intention, with constant renewing, that with every step you take, every action you make however great or small, it is all for Allah's sake - here you will find tranquillity, in this life and the next inn sha Allah.

It is this intention and the ultimate goal of attaining Allah's promise that was the inspiration behind the start up The Olive Orchid Boutique, may Allah accept it Allahuma Aameen. To read more about the Olive Orchid story click HERE.

May Allah put tranquillity in the hearts of the Ummah and grant them a beautiful abode in Jannah Allahuma Aameen.
